Many often say to me that despite really enjoying Instagram as a photography app they do not necessarily understand the purpose of it in business sense. However, as mentioned in several previous blogs here, there is not a human that can deny its tremendous growth and popularity. and this is exactly what big brands are tapping into.

Users only spend a specific amount of time looking at the daily images their “friends” upload and eventually subsequently drift off to the search or the explore button. Instagram places a big emphasis on searching and discovering your favourite content in order to also maximise the time spent on the network.

There are also several other ways you can use Instagram’s Search and Explore for your business — finding the best hashtags to use, engaging your fans, and finding influencers to collaborate with can significantly increase your views and attract clicks to your content, website or even sales to your product.

 

You can now see at the top right of your screen a search bar. Simply tap it to start searching any of the following:

  • Top (i.e. all of the below)
  • People (i.e. Other users on Instagram)
  • Tags (i.e. Hashtags)
  • Places (i.e. Location tags)

There are also several other ways you can use Instagram’s Search and Explore for your business — finding the best hashtags to use, engaging your fans, and finding influencers to collaborate with can significantly increase your views and attract clicks to your content, website or even sales to your product.
