Facebook Live is available currently but only for verified Public Figures and verified Brand Pages using Mentions.
Many may argue that this is now outdated as Instagram has offered the feature for a while. Nonetheless, Instagram does not offer the option to leave your Video on your “Wall” or Page as such whereas that option is available on Facebook. Even after a Live video ends, the content lives on, helping you reach even more people.
Global Web Index found in 2016 that 20% of Facebook users have watched at least 1 live video the past month. What is more, Facebook considers Live Videos as a totally different entity to normal videos and hence allows them to rank higher in the news feed (whilst they are live) in order to attract more engagement.
