Most of us (especially business owners) are now fully aware of Facebook Marketing and Advertising “powers” and hence have created our pages, invited our friends and colleagues to like them and also socially promoted them on our website, LinkedIn and other profiles. The same time that Mark Zuckenberg, the CEO of Facebook, apologised one more time to the American Congress for the undoubted breach of security and personal data in regards to the Cambridge Analytica scandal, there are a few other questions also now been posed around whether Facebook has grown too large and could be considered a monopoly. It was also, quite interesting to hear both Mark and Sheryl Sandberg – for the first time – talk about a Subscription Facebook platform which would help the company ensure privacy details and data are not breached. (We will be discussing this matter on another blog next week) At the same time however, there are now many prominent figures (Twitter CEO as well as one of the Apple founders) and members of the public, deactivating their accounts due to fear of total lack of security and management of their data. Instagram has consistently tried to improve its platform and add new features and tools to its stories. Earlier this week, rumours circulated that Instagram’s working on new ‘Nametag’ scannable codes to connect users to profiles, while the platform also officially released its “Focus Portrait” mode for selfies and videos just a week ago. Now, WABetaInfo reports that Instagram is also developing a new Q and A sticker option for Stories, which would allow users of the platform to pose a question within the Stories flow, but the response to that query would be private. As is visible above, the new Q and A sticker would be another option in your Stories tools and differs from the existing Poll stickers, in that the responses wouldn’t necessarily have to be multiple choice, while the results, as noted, would be sent privately. The option could be great for brands seeking rapport on new products, or ways they can…

This enormous amalgamate of data is primarily used to decipher which ads are best suitable to be shown to you as a user and consumer. It also makes using Facebook more seamless and enjoyable – say, by determining which posts to emphasize in your feed, or reminding you of friends’ celebrations or birthdays. Facebook…
