Facebook Ads now link to Whatsapp

We start the New Year with some interesting news coming from..yeah, you guessed it right. Facebook ! An very exciting social media development – that may have slipped under your festive radar – occurred a couple of weeks back. The increased monetisation of Whatsapp. What does that mean? Well, simplified,  Facebook has introduced a ‘contact us via Whatsapp’ button to sponsored organic Facebook posts. This will move your conversation to a company Whatsapp account (yes you need to create a Company Whatsapp, you can contact ours on +44 (0)7502449127) and helps Facebook bring Whatsapp a little closer to the larger Facebook family which include Instagram, Oculus, Ascenta and ProtoGeo. Cross-post Instagram Stories to Facebook

Facebook has recently been making some significant changes with an aim of becoming a more evident, cross-platform player. It’s all down to a new capability that allows users to cross-post an Instagram story to their Facebook profile. Simply put, you can now send your videos to both platforms with a single post. As of yet the feature only works in one direction, Instagram to Facebook. However, Facebook has said it has ‘not ruled out’ a Facebook Story that can be cross-posted onto Instagram. This is an update that could potentially cause quite a stir on social media and have enormous implications and advantages for Business users. Twitter testing 280 characters tweets

We’ve all be in a similar position, whereby we have to grudgingly go back and edit out words and re-phrase what we are trying to say due to the 140 character limit on Twitter. However all this could be changing as Twitter is currently conducting a trial that will double its character count – from the default of 140 to 280. Its not available for every user just yet as it is currently only in trial version by Twitter. Fake Likes, should I go with it?

This is probably the most common social media “cheat” out there that many have already (incorrectly) made use of.  The market for buying fake followers has exploded in the past few years, and is now a multi-million dollar industry. And unfortunately, there is a real-world use case for fakes. I personally was contacted by an agency not that far from Cambridge, offering me a guaranteed 1000 (!!!!) likes and follows per month for 12 months.
