It has been a common tactic for marketing companies – and not only – alike to simple schedule their tweets, post them several times on many different profiles and also retweet them across their managed networks in a form of cross-posting. Well, Twitter is having none of that any longer. Twitter’s spam bot issue isn’t new, but it came to a head when it was revealed a few months ago that thousands of Russian accounts (also known as troll accounts) used the platform to influence the 2016 Presidential elections in the United States of America. Now, the company has announced new developer guidelines and a set of rigorous changes designed to prohibit automated actions and to make it harder for “tweetdeckers” to flood the social network. Autonomous vehicles usually get all the headlines -and most times for the wrong reasons -, but automakers are steadily and gradually adding advanced electronic safety features to human-driven cars as they step toward a world of self-driving vehicles. Car and tech companies such as Audi and Tesla are rolling out laser sensors, artificial intelligence, larger viewing screens that show more of the road, cameras that can read speed limit signs, and systems that slow cars ahead of curves and construction zones. Many of the new features such as radars and cameras that were already in our cars, are now being reconfigured and re-thought of so as  to also be used for automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection and other safety devices. The companies also are keeping a closer watch on drivers to make sure they’re paying attention and off course adjusting to the new features in their vehicles. Tell us if…

What is a blacklist? It is a question I actually had to answer to one of my clients this weekend in regards to their personal email address. What is a Blacklisted email address? A blacklist is a list of servers or domains that a blacklist operator has deemed it sends spam emails although not all blacklists are created equally. Smaller blacklists such as Spam Cannibal and NoSolicitado usually have less of an impact overall but some – such as SpamHaus and Barracuda – are well known and can be very powerful. The impact that a blacklisting has on “deliverability” depends on a number of things but mainly the recipient server subscribing to the blacklist. How does a blacklisting happen? If for example one of our customers sends an email campaign to a data-list he has bought or has scraped, or third party contacts (or even is simply very old) on that…

He describes this idea as “pre-suasion”, which is also the title of his new book. The text builds on his pioneering text influence which was released in 1984 and sold 3 million copies across the world. In the book, he laid out the six key principles of influence. The first tenet “reciprocity” is the idea that people return a favor that’s why retailers give out free samples and “commitment and consistency” suggests that we are more likely to follow through with an idea if we agree to it aloud or in writing. The third tenet is “social proof” which suggests that most of us are likely to repeat the actions of others, followed by “authority: which describes our leaning to obey…
